Terms of Service
Effective date: 25 February 2026 | Last updated: 24 April 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the OneRide platform — including the OneRide mobile applications for passengers and drivers, our website, and any related services (together, the “Platform”) — operated by Asli One Global Private Limited (“OneRide”, “we”, “our”), a private limited company incorporated in India (CIN: U62011TN2026PTC190105) with registered office at 309/3, Yasmin Nagar, Vedhanarayanapuram, Ozhalur, Tirukalikundram, Kanchipuram 603111, Tamil Nadu.
By creating an account, making a booking, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the Platform
OneRide is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent auto-rickshaw drivers. OneRide is not a transport service provider. The transport of passengers or parcels is provided directly by the driver, who is an independent contractor and not an employee, agent or partner of OneRide.
Accordingly, the contract for the ride service is entered into between the passenger and the driver. OneRide's role is limited to discovery, matching, communication, and collection of the platform booking fee.
2. Booking fee & zero commission
- The ride fare follows the Tamil Nadu government auto-rickshaw tariff and is paid directly by the passenger to the driver (UPI or cash).
- OneRide charges a flat ₹5 booking fee per ride (GST inclusive) paid by the passenger to Asli One Global Private Limited. This is OneRide's only charge on a ride.
- OneRide does not take any commission on the fare. 100% of the fare stays with the driver.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older and legally competent to contract.
- Drivers must hold a valid Tamil Nadu commercial driving licence, a valid RC, active fitness certificate and permit, and must successfully complete OneRide's onboarding verification process.
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
4. Passenger obligations
- Pay the fare to the driver promptly on ride completion via UPI or cash.
- Pay the ₹5 booking fee to OneRide at the time of booking through the in-app payment gateway.
- Behave respectfully; do not abuse, harass, or endanger the driver or other passengers.
- Do not carry contraband, illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials.
- Two-way rating: you are expected to rate the driver honestly after each ride.
- Personal belongings: You are solely responsible for the safety of your belongings inside the vehicle (phone, wallet, bag, keys, documents, packages, parcels, valuables). The driver's primary duty is the safe operation of the vehicle and cannot watch passenger items at all times. Always check the seat and floor before exiting.
4.1 Forgotten or lost items
If you discover that you have left an item in the vehicle:
- Use the "Left behind" button on your post-ride receipt screen, or contact OneRide support within 24 hours of ride completion.
- OneRide will make a reasonable, best-effort attempt to coordinate with the driver and return the item — typically by arranging a return trip in which you pay only the metered fare (no ₹5 booking fee).
- OneRide acts solely as a coordinator and assumes no liability for the loss, damage, theft, or non-recovery of any item left in a vehicle. The platform does not guarantee successful recovery and is not financially responsible for the value of any belongings.
- For high-value items (jewellery, electronics, large sums of cash, legal documents) we strongly recommend you keep them in your direct physical custody at all times during the ride.
5. Driver obligations
- Drive safely, follow all traffic laws, and maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle.
- Carry the passenger and their parcel directly to the stated destination via a reasonable route.
- Charge only the government-set tariff — no negotiation, no refusal of short trips.
- Comply with OneRide Driver Guidelines (cleanliness, conduct, dress code, no intoxication).
- Maintain valid RC, DL, FC, permit, and insurance at all times. Expired documents will cause suspension from the Platform.
- If subscribed to OneRide's insurance subscription, honour the Razorpay weekly auto-debit mandate until cancellation.
6. Cancellation
Cancellation of rides is governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. OneRide Parcel Service
- Parcels up to 5 kg only, for personal (non-commercial) use.
- Prohibited items: cash, gold, perishables over 24 hours, illegal substances, fragile goods without protective packaging, weapons.
- Maximum declared value per parcel: ₹2,000.
- Senders must enter receiver's name and phone number. An OTP is generated and must be handed to the driver by the receiver on collection.
8. Driver Insurance Subscription
Drivers may optionally subscribe to insurance plans detailed on the Products & Services page. Key terms:
- Premium is collected by Asli One Global Private Limited via Razorpay weekly auto-debit.
- Launch offer: first 30 days FREE. Billing begins on day 31.
- Coverage activates 90 days after the first successful payment (not from registration date).
- Drivers may cancel the subscription anytime from their profile settings. On cancellation, coverage (if active) lapses at the end of the paid week.
- OneRide facilitates insurance through licensed IRDAI-approved insurers. OneRide itself is not an insurance underwriter.
9. Two-way rating & code of conduct
Both passengers and drivers are required to rate each other after every ride. Accounts that repeatedly receive poor ratings, behavioural complaints, or verified safety incidents may be suspended or permanently blocked from the Platform at OneRide's discretion.
10. Intellectual property
The “OneRide” name, logo, marks and all Platform content (software, design, text, graphics) are the property of Asli One Global Private Limited and protected under Indian intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asli One Global Private Limited's aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) ₹500 or (b) the sum of OneRide booking fees paid by that user in the ninety (90) days preceding the event giving rise to the claim. OneRide is not liable for the acts or omissions of drivers or passengers, who are independent parties to the ride contract.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Asli One Global Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, the Driver Guidelines, applicable law, or the safety of other users. You may delete your account at any time from in-app Settings.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice or email to the address associated with your account.
